FROM THE EDITOR
We are facing a climate emergency.
Temperatures are rising, ice caps are melting and urgent action must be taken in order to slow the warming of our wonderful world. Our environment is a key priority and, in a new partnership with Rewilding Britain, we will be contributing to their effort of sequestering 47 million tonnes of CO2 per year back into the ground. From September, for every booking taken, we will donate to the charity to support the restoration of Great Britain's eco systems, helping secure a future for generations to come.

This process is about allowing nature to take care of itself; enabling natural processes to shape the land and sea, repairing our damaged ecosystems and restoring degraded landscapes. Through rewilding, wildlife's natural rhythms can step back into beat, creating more diverse habitats which not only benefit our planet, but communities too.
By partnering with Rewilding Britain we are contributing to the restoration of woodland, peatland and species-rich grassland across a quarter of the country, which in turn will withdraw 10% of the UK's CO2 output per year back into the soil. But it's not just our carbon emissions which benefit from rewilding; habitats are revitalised, river erosion and flood risk are reduced, opportunities for rural economies increased and mental health holistically boosted.
With each and every booking made by you, you are helping to give back and nurture the land on which we walk, and we cannot thank you enough.

Team unique volunteering
Our people are the ambassadors for our brand, united by a shared passion for design, culture, sustainable travel and innovation. As of September 2019, we are supporting each employee to help us make change by establishing a Team Unique Volunteering Scheme.
Surrounded by sea and land, our initial volunteering scheme will support change close to our current ethos to help rewild the nation in the fight against climate change. Giving each employee the opportunity to volunteer one working day a year, which will contribute a total of at least 200 hours to local charities.
