Luxury enchanted cottages
Squirrel away in a land where rambling roses scent the air, peculiar shaped clouds drift by and plum crumble vanishes from the kitchen table, as if by magic.
There's something unexplainably joyful about an old stone cottage. You only need to peer through the fence to know these crooked-roofed, honeysuckle-clad boltholes are going to be pure enchantment. Push open a pastel-hued front door and you'll find fires pre-laid for Sundays with the papers, farmhouse tables designed to hold towers of marmalade on toast and clawfoot bathtubs so chic they could trot out the front door and straight onto the catwalk.
And then there's the gardens. Colourful riots of blousy blooms and delicate wildflowers, the essence of informality, growing together in happy abandon, spilling onto pathways, climbing up walls and scrambling towards the sun. Lie back on a chaise, flute of vintage fizz in hand, and drink it all in. A world of your own.
