Introduction
A wayward gypsy who found its forever home close to the sea, Sundance will inspire you to embrace your wild side and roam barefoot in this peaceful corner of the north Cornwall coast. Dog-friendly and with room for a travel cot, it's a cosy retreat for couples and solo travellers. Settle in and break the status quo; fire up the lower deck's barbecue for an al fresco breakfast, welcome the sound of the rain from the comfort of the glass-enclosed veranda and lounge on the sunbeds as the moon’s reflection dances atop the pond. Offering a truly unique experience this self-catering retreat will find a place in your heart forever.
Inside
Awaking in the cushy embrace of the king-size bed, draw out your morning lie-in with a pile of the weekend papers, hot coffee and pastries from the nearby deli. Find peace in each corner and revel in the backdrop of verdant cottage gardens. In summer, the indoor-outdoor living space is a dream, while cooler months are equally as luxurious curled up in front of the radiant glow of the woodburner. After a long day walking the coast path from Newquay to Mawgan Porth, the large en suite bathroom flaunts not only a rolltop bathtub, but a double walk-in shower too.
Outside
The wildflower gardens surrounding Sundance burst with a confetti of pink foxgloves, rockery succulents, ornamental grasses and flitting butterflies. French doors lead onto an enclosed suntrap patio, offering views across rolling Cornish countryside towards the coast. A tranquil escape with nothing to disturb but free range chickens clucking in the adjoining fields, spend balmy summer evenings lounging under the pergola. Enjoy rambles on Bodmin Moor, boutique shopping and old-fashioned days on the golden sands of Mawgan Porth, Watergate Bay and Newquay's surrounding beaches; rated amongst the best in the UK.

From the owner
“I designed Sundance for those looking for a luxury nomadic experience on the north Cornwall coast. With its quirky interiors and mod cons, our unique wagon has been transformed into a deceivingly spacious hideaway with personality aplenty.”
I discovered Sundance down a farm track years ago and was instantly intrigued. I went on to discover that the owner had hand built it himself, but never used it! The thought of it sat desolate not being used was heart-breaking, so I made him an offer and thankfully, he accepted!
What sparked my imagination for this project were memories of building camps and dens along with my brother and sister on our farm as children. We would spend hours outdoors, gathering salvaged items and pieces of nature to create masterpiece shelters which would make play dens all summer long.
I worked closely with a designer and team of local craftsmen to carefully transform the old wagon into a stylish cottage-style hideaway that would provide unique self-catering accommodation with comfort and all the mod cons. This involved adding a large extension for a double bedroom, luxury walk-in shower/bathroom and a utility area.
We then built on the enclosed glass veranda which provides indoor-outdoor living; a lovely light-filled space to simply relax and enjoy the country surroundings and take in the views of the wildlife pond.
Sundance makes a great base from which to explore all that Cornwall has to offer. Head out on foot to discover the beautiful countryside and woodland. You are just a short drive away from the renowned sandy beaches of Newquay, Lusty Glaze, Watergate Bay and Mawgan Porth.

One of the nicest places we have ever been lucky enough to stay. It´s been a wet and windy week, walking our cocker spaniel in the elements! Sundance was so cosy and inviting and we found ourselves staying in most nights. The highlights were Fistral Beach waves and fireworks, Camel trail cycle, Pasties in Padstow and the St Agnes coastal walk. Thank you for a wonderful time.
Wow, this place has been amazing, what a way to celebrate my husband´s 30th birthday. It is even better than the images! We really enjoyed our stay, thank you for making it feel so special.

What an amazingly peaceful place to stay. Sundance has been exactly what we needed, a cosy getaway! The hut is absolutely beautiful and makes you feel, so warm and welcomed as soon as you step foot in it we made great use of the log burner which made it even cosier.
A wonderful holiday that exceeds expectations. The perfect place to enjoy baking, hot sun and escape the torrential rain! Every detail of both the interiors and gardens is utter perfection. We leave feeling rested and happy, full of great memories.
Such a glorious week escape to this beautiful part of Cornwall. From the minute we arrived, this very special bohemian retreat opened itself up to us. We had the most fantastic anniversary week exploring coastal pathways, chilling at the nearby beaches and dining at local jaunts. Our sweet 2-year-old dog Bella adored the enclosed garden and all the new smells. Such a treasure in quiet Trebudannon.
We absolutely loved our stay at Sundance! The hamper was a really lovely touch and we enjoyed the eggs on toast every morning! The weather could not have been better for us and we made the most of it every day with brilliant days out. 10/10 Accommodation.
Thank you so much to Unique Homestays. We thoroughly enjoyed a very much needed break away from our hectic jobs! Sundance couldn´t have been more perfect. Reading a book watching the sunset, relaxing by the log fire and sleeping in the most amazing bed. All the little touches were so thoughtful and we hope to be back again soon. Thank you again.
Sundance was more than we could have imagined and in a perfect location; out of the way of the world, just a short drive from beautiful Cornish beaches and villages. We felt at home as soon as we arrived and we couldn’t recommend this place more. Thank you so much for a well needed relaxed stay.
What a perfect place to be cooped up during Storm Eunice. Sundance made for a relaxing galentines retreat from the city, for this mother and daughter duo! Thank you for opening up your home for others to enjoy.
WOW! What a week. When we stumbled across Sundance online a year ago, we knew it would be the perfect place to decompress after our wedding; and it did not disappoint! You have literally thought of everything, we are ready to move in! Thank you so much.
