The beguiling juxtaposition of this contemporary holiday home with a listed traditional Cotswolds cottage sitting alongside is a match made in heaven. Flawless in its design, The Find is formed of natural stone, wall-to-ceiling glass and fair-faced concrete interiors, which provide the canvas for the sleek minimalist theme. The property also benefits from a unique grass rooftop that buries the house into the hillside to complement the natural surroundings. Meaning you needn't miss a moment of the majestic setting, the designer's theatrical approach to space and light welcomes the outside in.

From the owner
“Staying at The Find, it feels as though you are a million miles from anywhere. We hope you feel its magnetic draw as soon as you arrive and enjoy the peaceful Cotswolds surroundings, as well as the property´s unique design.”
In 1121, one of the earliest recorded places in Cranham was known as ‘Ledecome’; probably acquiring its name from the Ledene Stream. Following the death of Henry VIII in 1547, Sir John Bridges was granted the Manor of Brimpsfield, which included a house built by Humphrey Pole upon waste ground known as ‘Leddeleysiat’. The similarity to ‘Ladlecombe’ may suggest that this building stood on the site of the present house, when Cranham formed part of the Brimpsfield estate.
To the south of The Find is a chain of lakes which, according to maps drawn at different times, have varied in number from one to three. They were created by damming the stream which flows from Many Well Springs. The stream also provided enough headwater to operate a mill which was constructed on the western edge of the lake.
Although the mill was considered to be in a fair condition, it could only be used on occasions depending on weather, thus affecting its financial value. The stonework ultimately fell into such a state of dilapidation that it was beyond repair and sadly nothing remains of the mill today. For us, this history and the surrounds are intertwined and we love to listen to the whispers of time.

We had the best time at The Find, it´s been the perfect getaway. We’ve travelled all over the world on holidays, but this stay ranks up there at the top! We loved it. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us.
Our stay was fabulous and The Find is such a beautiful property, you have to see it to believe it! The house manager is brilliant and very helpful too. I´ll definitely be using Unique Homestays again, and I currently have my eye on some of the other properties!
I cannot begin to express just how wonderful and special The Find is. A truly beautiful property and with a location to match and I would highly recommend it to anyone (in fact I already have!). Aside from the house and the surrounding land being incredible, the house keeper and the gardener were lovely, helpful and super attentive. It was the perfect stay for us!
We had a most amazing weekend at The Find, what a fantastic, amazing, incredible property and all our friends were awestruck. So much wonderful space and a most memorable weekend for everyone. Cathy, the housekeeper was so helpful and lovely and I cannot praise the caterers, (Made by Bob), highly enough, they were so efficient, friendly, professional and the food was totally divine and beyond all expectations. Sadly back to reality now at home but thank you for your efficiency and will recommend you to everyone.
We have obviously now returned from a really lovely long weekend in your amazing property. We were lucky with the weather despite an ominous forecast. My daughter and her husband are over from New York for a couple of weeks so it was especially nice to all get together at The Find.
We wanted to do something different for New Year with our family and The Find was unique & very special. The housekeeper was lovely and very helpful. We had different family staying with us over the week and she came in to change bedding and clean in between ´change over´. The cupboards were packed with toys and the kitchen cupboards were so well stocked with ´basics´. Planning to come back in the summer!
Can I thank you once again for your excellent service. We really did enjoy our stay in what is a very unique home, in such a fantastic setting. It made a very special birthday weekend for my mother-in-law.
