Button Barn was a truly beautiful experience and made our anniversary a very special celebration. The barn is positioned in an ideal location with a multitude of historical, cultural and entertaining attractions close by. After an easy, stress-free drive we ventured down a quiet country lane and arrived at Button Barn late afternoon. We were greeted by Sallie Button, the owner of the property, who welcomed us with a big smile, a mini tour of the barn and its facilities and even provided milk, bread, butter, tea and freshly baked banana and chocolate muffins!
Button Barn is a small, intimate space and is absolutely perfect for a couple’s retreat or romantic getaway. The interior has been decorated to perfection with modern appliances, heated floors, a comfortable bed and a large bathroom. The kitchen is particularly special and includes a small window overlooking a beautiful garden with fields and farm life nestled in the distance. The two-seated breakfast bar offers the perfect space to enjoy the countryside view and soak up a moment with your companion.
The local area provides all necessary shops and a great selection of pubs and restaurants. Just a stone’s throw from Button Barn is Compton Verney. The independent art gallery is set in a beautiful estate and provides a lovely location for a quiet walk and houses memorable displays inside the main building. Another gem in the area is Charlecote Park; a Tudor mansion with beautiful gardens set within a large deer park. The perfect day out! We finished our four-day escape with a meal at Walton Hall before soaking up the tranquillity of Button Barn for our last night. After another cheerful encounter with the owner, we checked out and drove the short distance to Stratford-Upon-Avon and explored the beautiful town before heading home.
Our weekend at Button Barn was wonderful and I would certainly recommend this hideaway for any couple celebrating a special date or just needing some quality time together. Warwickshire is a beautiful county and there is plenty to explore, alternatively Button Barn offers the opportunity to escape from the world and relax into a peaceful sanctuary.
